As a society, members of the SVdP are dedicated to working with the less fortunate of the community, helping to lift the burdens of the needy in our area. If you are interested in joining or you know of someone who is in temporary need because of a loss of a job or an illness, please call and leave a message on the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Help Line. All calls are confidential.
SVdP Help Line
If you need help or are referring others for assistance, please call the St. Vincent de Paul Help Line at 724.252.4631. This number is the same for all four SVdP Teams in our MACH 1 Parish Grouping. The phone will ring about 5 to 6 times and then go into a voice mailbox. The voicemails will be routed to the respective SVdP Team based on geography/school district. Callers will be contacted promptly.
United Way and SVdP
Please note that your United Way workplace contributions can be directed to our parish St. Vincent de Paul Society. Just write on your donation form to send your contributions to: St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. John's Conference, Monaca, PA 15061.

SVdP Tuition Aid Program
The St. Vincent DePaul Society offers a Tuition Aid Program for graduating seniors who have been accepted by a university, college or trade school or for current college students meeting the following requirements: The university or trade school must be in Allegheny County or be any Pennsylvania state-affiliated college (Penn State, Slippery Rock, Indiana State, etc.). They must have at least a 3.0 average. They need an admission letter and invoice from the school of their choice; a letter of recommendation from a priest, pastor, rabbi, or a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society confirming their need and a copy of their family's IRS Form 1040 showing adjusted gross income. Applications for this aid can be mailed to anyone interested by calling the St. Vincent de Paul Help Line at 724.252.4631.

The Holy Name Society, whose charter at St. John the Baptist, Monaca, began in 1932. The society promotes reverence for the sacred names of God and Jesus Christ, obedience and loyalty to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, and the personal sanctification and holiness of its members. It is part of the National Association of the Holy Name Society (NAHNS).
United with other members throughout the Beaver County Deanery as well as the Diocese of Pittsburgh, it also focuses on the functions and needs of the parish.
