Through baptism, Christians understand they are called upon to assume their roles in ministering to one another at the liturgy. Various gifts are given to the community and although these gifts are different, they come from one and the same Spirit. Liturgical ministry is an expression of stewardship, and is a rewarding opportunity to share your time and talent with our faith community.
“The Church desires that all the faithful be led to that full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations called for by the nature of the liturgy. Such participation by the Christian people is their right and duty by reason of their baptism.” (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, #14)
Liturgy is the heart of the Saint Titus worship experience. Liturgical ministers serve in various capacities to facilitate a prayerful and inspirational experience for all who worship here. Any member of our parish wishing to serve as a liturgical minister is welcome. Investigate those listed below which are of interest to you. Please call the parish office if you have questions or would like more information.
The Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion assist sthe priest with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ. They should be mature in faith and be known to other parishioners as practicing Catholics in good standing in the Catholic Church. Diocesan regulations require that Eucharistic Ministers be practicing Catholics over the age of 18, single, widowed, divorced or in a valid marriage. Call the parish office if you would like to volunteer for this ministry. Call the office at 724.378.8561 to inquire.
Very often those who are sick and home bound are not just “shut in” but “shut out” of so many of the activities, relationships and places that are important parts of their lives. This is true for faithful Catholics who have a deep relationship and devotion to Jesus in his Eucharistic presence. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are needed to help reunite and strengthen the relationship of these two friends! Can you help?
In an effort to strengthen our outreach ministry to the community through the Ministry to the Sick program at St Titus, we are always looking for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to bring the Eucharist to those homebound on regular basis. Not only would you be reuniting “two friends”, but another relationship would be strengthened — that of the individual whom you are serving with the praying community of St. Titus — through you!
If you are currently serving as an Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion in the parish, please give this request serious consideration. To share in or learn more about this important ministry at St. Titus, please call Jackie D’Alessandris 724.374.6238
The altar server ministry is very important and each boy/girl will be making a serious commitment to your parish family. Any boy or girl at least 9 years of age is invited to become an altar server. Like all calls to ministry, it is God who makes the invitation. God calls you to help our parish worship by being an altar server.
Servers are to perform their duties in a sincere and reverent manner. This is rightly expected of them by God and his people. Your attentiveness to the words and actions of the Mass will assure that the liturgy will unfold in a smooth and prayerful manner for all.
This will be an experience you will remember for the rest of your life. We encourage our servers in high school to continue to be altar servers. New altar servers are trained during the summer.
For more information or to volunteer, call the parish office.

If you would like to become a Lector, contact the Parish Office. 724.378.8561
For decades, the people of Aliquippa have heard beautiful music coming from St. Titus. Under Nick Bell, choir director, and Rich Shyan, organist, the St. Titus Choir continues to lead the faithful in prayer and worship.
The choir sings at the 10:00AM Mass on Sundays from September to June through Catechetical Sunday. In addition, the choir leads the congregation on Holy Days of Obligation, and other special celebrations (10:00PM Mass, Easter Vigil, San Rocco, etc.) The choir also shares some sounds of the season at its annual Christmas concert.
Come enjoy the music our choir makes, and consider sharing your own God-given talents with everyone by becoming a member of the choir. For more information or to join the choir, contact Nick Bell at 724.777.7446.
Commitment: Rehearsal on Thursday’s 7:00PM in the church and weekly Mass.
The choir, made up of volunteers, sings at parish funerals, providing a comforting sign of solidarity with the families who are experiencing the loss of a loved one.
If you have time during the morning hours, whether you are retired, work at home, a college student or student on summer break, please consider joining this important ministry. Everyone is welcome. The choir rehearses prior to the Funeral Mass. For more information or to volunteer, call Ted Coppola at 724.775.4272.
